THE ULTIMATE VACATION EXPERIENCE

A Crewed Yacht Charter Vacation

Congratulations! You've just stumbled upon the best-kept secret in the hospitality industry. Your own private yacht with a crew that is dedicated to making this vacation the very best you've ever had.

A Crewed Yacht Charter Vacation is much like staying at an exclusive villa where you're pampered by a staff that works tirelessly to make sure you have everything that you want. But unlike a hotel or villa where you're stuck in the same location for the entire week, your yacht moves daily at your direction and you'll experience a new anchorage and perhaps a new island every day. It's up to you! If you find a place that you particularly enjoy you can spend extra time there.  Or, if you don't care for a certain anchorage let the Captain know and he'll take you somewhere else. The choice is yours. You decide the itinerary and each day's activities.

Unlike a trip on a cruise ship where you visit the dirtiest part of each island (the main port) and fight the crowds throughout your trip, a private yacht will take you to pristine harbors and bays off the beaten path. Many of them still look the same as they did when Columbus first discovered and named them in 1493.

What will you do for a week on board your yacht? Just about anything you'd like to do. You'll be asked to fill out a form in advance of your trip that will let the crew know your favorite foods and beverages and your favorite things to do, too. While this will help the Captain to suggest a plan of action to you when you board your yacht, it doesn't limit you to these activities alone. Just as you don't live in your hotel room ashore, you don't need to stay on board the yacht all of the time either. Besides the activities included by your yacht, which include swimming, snorkeling, beachcombing, sunning, sipping a cool drink in the shade of the cockpit, spending quality time with friends and family, reading a good book or listening to your favorite music and never having to wait in line, here are some other activities that are either available on board or easily arranged by any yacht that you select:

Fishing, Flying an Ultralight over the reefs, Golfing, Hiking, Horseback Riding, Jogging, Kneeboarding, Mountain Biking, Para-Sailing, Picnicking on a Secluded Beach, Playing Tennis, Sailing, Renting a Jet-Ski, Scuba Diving, Shelling, Shopping, Touring an Island by Taxi or Jeep, Water Skiing, Windsurfing….get the picture? You won't have any time to get bored on this trip.

After a hard day's play and a fabulous gourmet meal aboard your yacht you may be ready for a few after-dinner cordials and some quiet time together to reminisce or gaze at the stars, so many more of them visible than back home. Or if you're still craving action, you can go ashore and enjoy dancing to a driving Caribbean beat at one of many local establishments throughout the islands or perhaps live cabaret entertainment as found at The Last Resort. Most charter clients choose to eat at least one dinner ashore during the course of the week to provide the chef with a night off and to sample some of the local cuisine (though it's not likely to rival the meals you'll be enjoying aboard your own Private Yacht.)

We've prepared a Virtual Tour of the Virgin Islands for you to put all of this together and help you get a feel for how your week might go aboard a 48 foot catamaran. Click here to take a sail aboard  Feeling Blue?.

We also have a fascinating account of an encounter with a Wild Dophin as reported by Captain Jack Feiersen of the yacht Dreamwalker.  click here to meet "Lucy"
