"Somethin's Cooking on Irie"
Dave Strobel, your chef aboard Irie, looks forward to amazing you with his culinary creativity and talent.
A graduate of Scottsdale Culinary Institute with a degree in Culinary Arts, he also has 10 years of professional
restaurant experience. Dave's culinary style is very diversified, but can best be categorized as Nouveau Classical
with Island and Asian influences. His travels and chef experiences have led him from Scottsdale, to the Napa Valley
area, and on to Anchorage, Alaska. His gained versatility is key, allowing him to adjust and vary his menus according
to his guests' preferences. Most recently, Dave served as Executive Sous Chef at the Glacier BrewHouse in Anchorage
Alaska followed by a one year term as Pastry Chef at the Coyote Grill in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Born and raised outside Chicago, Dave's love of the water and sailing began at an early age. His wanderlust led him
to Irie, where he has combined his passion for food with his desire to sail. When he's not in the galley, Dave's other
pursuits include beach volleyball, mountain hiking and art.
