A CHARTER BROKER
Picking the right yacht and the right crew is crucial to the success
of your crewed yacht charter, and your most reliable way of choosing is by
working through a reliable yacht charter agent that knows the boats and the
crews personally.
The Internet has made it possible to find out lots more
about chartering than ever before. Unfortunately it also provides a low cost
means for hundreds of new charter "experts" to hang out their shingles
and offer charters without ever having seen the yachts or met the crews that they're offering. Some of them have never even booked a single charter!
Many yachts are advertising on the net as well. You have no way of knowing if
the information on their site is accurate, manufactured from half-truths, and
whether there might be better choices for your particular situation. Nor do
you have the protection of a proper charter agreement, the ability to place
your deposit on a credit card or have your deposit held in an independent
escrow account until a few days before your charter begins.
When you book a yacht directly, that yacht is going to try to get you to choose them! They're not going to suggest other yachts that might just suit your needs a little bit better. But, we will.
Occasionally a yacht has a last-minute problem and cannot show up for the charter. What happens then, if you've booked directly with the yacht. Perhaps the captain has a friend who isn't busy, but is that friend's boat really right for you? We track hundreds of yachts regularly, and should a situation arise, we'll use our expertise to find you the very best resolution to the problem, something that you would never be able to do on your own.
